We are passionate about the terroir, history, and personality of the wines we curate, and strive to create a dialogue surrounding these principles. We are here for everyone, our experience is tailored to individual needs, providing a sense of ease in developing a knowledge and appreciation for wine.
Stephane Colling was born in Alsace, France. He began his career in hospitality and wine at age sixteen, working at numerous Three Star Michelin restaurants in Europe. He moved to New York City in 1999 where he worked with Alain Ducasse, Gabriel Kreuther, Joel Robuchon and Daniel Boulud, winning several awards from Wine Spectator and James Beard for Outstanding Service. Stephane moved to Santa Barbara as the Food and Beverage Director at San Ysidro Ranch in 2011 and opened Merci Montecito with his wife Elizabeth in 2019.
